Meat Pie



Aussie Meat Pie
The Australian classic pie. Suet crust, beef stew and puff top. Soul Food.

CheeseMeat Pie




Our Cheese pie starts with the same crust and beef stew with added three cheeses - mozzarella, gouda and cheddar.

Chicken Pie




Chicken pie with Hokkaido chicken, eggplant and shiitake, rounded out with béchamel sauce.
Crispy chicken skin on top for crunch.

Dessert Pie




This dessert pie was originally intended as a short time special, but became a regular menu item due to popular demand.
We call it Double Blue, a blueberry and blue cheese (Gorgonzola) pie.

It is baked with fresh blueberries, lacto blueberries and gorgonzola mixed into blueberry jam.


Simply bake in the oven "from frozen".



We’ve done all the hard work. Just put the frozen MeatPie in the oven at 180°C for around 30min, or until piping hot in the centre.

Authentic Aussie Pie



As anyone from Australia, NZ, the UK, SA or many other places knows, meat pies are comfort food. Unlike the minced meat pies of antiquity, these pies are all about real stews and Hokkaido local food.

The Australian owner has recreated his grandmother's recipe for PIEME's signature beef stew.
Almost all ingredients are Hokkaido sourced. Many, including flour, onions, blueberries and garlic are grown in our hometown, Naganuma.

Meat pies are definitely in the fast food group, but PIEME's pies are very time-consuming morsels.
First, beef bones are roasted in the oven, then the base stock is made by simmering them with mirepoix and herbs for at least 12 hours. The collagen in this stock means we can eat it like a jelly when cooled.
Then Hokkaido Holstein beef, onions and red wine are added and simmered to build the stew for the meat and cheese pies.
The base dough is also handmade, with the addition of local butter and tallow.

When we explain how we do it, some people are surprised and say it's like it was done 100 years ago, but we like it because we think the process is important.

Our PIE is used by Park Hyatt Hanazono, one of our favorite hotels in the world.
PIEME Pies are available for lunch and dinner in the lounge and at the ski valet in the White Season and the Golf House during the Green Season.

To be approached by hotels of this caliber is a great honour.

How to eat and store



Heat in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes while still frozen.
*We suggest eating it hot - at least 75°C.
Of course, tomato sauce is recommended!


Store frozen (below -15°C).
